When you are looking for a good CBD oil, you will soon discover that the choice is enormous. Not only does the percentage of CBD differ per bottle of CBD oil, the type of CBD, the carrier oil and the production process also vary. At Dutch Vitals we are often asked which CBD oil is the best. The answer depends on a number of things. In this article we list the most important considerations for finding the best CBD oil for you.
The best all-round CBD oil: full spectrum 10%
First of all, our personal favorite and the CBD oil that we recommend to everyone if you have no other preference: Full spectrum CBD oil 10%, for example this from quality brand Dutch Hemp. This CBD oil has a nice, average get well soon, which makes it easy to dose for both mild and more severe complaints.
Why we prefer a full spectrum formula above broad spectrum? That has everything to do with the small amount of THC that the oil is rich in. Although the THC content is very low (less than the legal maximum of 0,05%), it has a major influence on the effect of the CBD oil. The THC ensures an optimal entourage effect, which in short ensures that the CBD and other cannabinoids in the oil have a maximum effect on your health.
The best CBD oil without THC
For some people it is important that their CBD oil is completely free of THC, so it really contains 0,00% THC. This is the case, for example, if you are not allowed to take THC because of work or travel, or if you are hypersensitive to the substance. In that case we recommend broad spectrum CBD oil for example with 5% or 10% CBD. A broad spectrum CBD is also rich in all cannabinoids, except THC. This makes the oil provide slightly less entourage effect, but still more than enough for a powerful, synergistic effect of all active ingredients.
What is a good percentage of CBD to start with?
As we indicated above, 10% CBD a nice average percentage for both beginners and more advanced CBD users. This oil contains 4 mg CBD per drop. This means that as a beginner user with mild complaints (recommended: 16 - 20 mg CBD per day) you can take 4 to 5 drops per day, possibly divided over 2 to 3 intake moments.
But are you just starting out and would you like to be able to dose more accurately? Then a lighter oil is also a good option, such as 5% CBD or 2,5% CBD oil. 5% CBD oil contains 2 mg CBD per drop, which means you can take 8 to 10 drops per day. Do you opt for 2,5% CBD? Then we recommend 16 to 20 drops per day. In our opinion, this is still doable. Keep in mind that the price per mg CBD always increases as the percentage decreases. So do you want maximum value for your money? Then we would always choose a stronger oil rather than a lighter one.
Which CBD oil for severe complaints?
Do you have more severe complaints, for example chronic pain due to rheumatism or another condition? Then you can safely increase the daily dose to about 70 mg per day. A CBD overdose is actually not possible, but if you want to take more CBD per day, we recommend that you discuss this with your doctor.
For this we recommend using a medium to strong full spectrum CBD oil, so from 10% to 25%. Our favorite is this one Dutch Hemp full spectrum 25% CBD. At 25% CBD, you will need about 7 drops per day. Are you opting for 10% CBD? Then use about 16-18 drops per day.
What are the best CBD oil brands?
To guarantee the safety and proper functioning of your CBD, it is important that you choose a reliable CBD brand. A reliable CBD brand can be recognized by the freely available (external) laboratory results of their products. On these test reports (which can be downloaded for free), you can read exactly which substances and in what quantity are in a bottle of oil: a very transparent way of working. This way, not only can everyone check whether the percentage of CBD corresponds to the claim of the producer, but also that there is not too much THC in it or substances that are harmful to health.

- A low percentage of CBD, for easy dosing
- Free from THC and terpenes, because animals cannot tolerate these well

We ourselves love the delicious nutty taste of hemp seed oil, but at the same time we know that not everyone is a fan of it. Fortunately, there are now good alternatives for those looking for a CBD oil without the pronounced nutty taste of hemp seed oil:

- Water soluble CBD, so with water instead of oil
